566_The first day at a new school
On a
beautiful spring morning, Alexandra went to her new school for the first time.
Her parents had just moved to that city.
When she
arrived at school, no boy wanted to sit next to her. That's why she felt scared
and embarrassed.
In the
meantime, it was time for recess. All the boys and girls got together in groups
and went to play, as usual. No one remembered Alexandra.
The girl
felt sad and alone. So she went to cry in a corner.
Seeing her
like that, Nazaré started laughing and called the attention of the other boys
saying:
- Look at
this girl all alone! You're crying, you look like a baby!
The other
children laughed too. Everyone except Rui. Rui was a nice and polite boy.
- Stop it!
What if it were you? - Rui asked.
They
stopped laughing and thought about the boy's words. Without saying anything
else, they went back to their games.
Alexandra
thanked Rui. He replied:
- You are
very nice. Don't be sad. If you want, you can play tag with me.
- I love
playing tag. I'm very fast! - said Alexandra.
Alexandra
and Rui became best friends.
